About the Event
Join us for a hands-on photography outing focused on learning how to use filters with intention. We’ll practice with circular polarizers and neutral density filters to see how they affect glare, reflections, foliage, sky, water, and motion. Participants will compare the same scene with and without filters, test different shutter speeds for moving water, and learn when a filter improves an image — and when it may be better to leave it off.
Bring your camera, any filters you own, a tripod if you have one, water, and comfortable walking shoes. This outing is suitable for mixed skill levels, and members without filters are welcome to observe, share gear if possible, and participate in the composition exercises.
