Bisti Badlands Exploration and Sunset

Join us at the Bisti Badlands (South parking lot) for an some exploration and Sunset photo shoot. We will drive home after sunset. We will carpool from Office Depot in Durango--we will depart at 2:30pm. Golden hour is 5:47 to 6:39pm.

We will be meeting at the south parking lot called Alamo Wash (shown at the bottom of the map below). The area we are hiking to is called "Cracked Eggs". It's an easy approximately two mile hike. However, please make sure you have a hiking tracker app on your phone because it is easy to get lost in the hoodoos. We will try to stay together, but please do not rely on others for your safety. Also, do not rely on cell service as it is spotty in Bisti.
We will arrive around 4PM. Hike and scout until golden hour. Golden hour is at 5:47PM to 6:39PM.
We will keep an eye on the weather leading up to the event. Any amount of rain can make Bisti a nightmare so we will cancel if it is wet.
